What You Risk Reveals What You Value

I’ve been reading The Passion by Jeanette Winterson and have been lost in daydreams of Venice, carnivals, casinos, and the elusive Queen of Spades. It’s no surprise that WhatKatieDoes‘ re-imagining of the royals in a deck of cards appeals to me at the moment. I love that the new idols include “sweet and seductive Queen of Hearts, spoilt bling princess Queen of Diamonds, hip-hop King of Clubs and hard-rockin’ King of Spades.” Alas, the Queen of Spades is still out wandering cloaked in the darkest of nights.
