Spell It

Among other things, I am thankful for my family. We argue. We laugh. We cry. And we love. For better or worse, they’ve molded me and shaped me into the person I am. A woman I’m starting to love a whole hell of a lot. We’re a blended family – that is to say I have a stepfather and my grandparents have been an integral part in my upbringing. Despite these facts, I’ve grown fond of the surname my absent biological father gave me. That’s why I’d like a set of these sign language letters spelling out my last name on a wall in my new room. I think it’s going to be important to have reminders of the family I love and adore while spending a year so far from home.
